Joseph Boulogne was one of the greatest composer-performers in the time of Mozart and Haydn. Known as the Chevalier de Saint-Georges, this son of a slave overcame adversities of class, race, and prejudice to become a major musical star. This large-scale orchestral program includes several of his violin concertos, music by Mozart, and one of Haydn’s Paris Symphonies.

Pre-Concert Documentary - Starting at 6:15pm in Room 320 of the Performing Arts Building (PAB). Please note that seating is limited for the screening.
