Monica Huggett, Director and Violin
Monica opens the year with the music of two prodigies. Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G minor joins two youthful symphonies and an early violin concerto by another prolific prodigy, Felix Mendelssohn, brought to life in the sparkling sonorities of period instruments.
The pre-concert lecture will be given by Andrew Clark, principal horn, and he will discuss the composers and their music. The lecture begins one hour prior to each performance (no additional charge).
