What to do in Portland this weekend? Discover something new at a PBO concert and experience great music. Ever heard of the theorbo or listened to a harpsichord? Our historically informed performances are played on period instruments or replicas of instruments used between 1600 - 1840. Artistic Director and keyboard virtuoso Julian Perkins leads the ensemble. PBO’s 2026/27 season explores contrast and connection across nine programs: winds and strings, mentors and pupils, old worlds and new. We hope you’ll hear familiar music with fresh ears, and discover voices that genuinely surprise you.
Join us for historically inspired performances on period instruments, where intimacy, playfulness, and spontaneity make every concert feel like a discovery.

Current subscribers have first access to the best seats, priority seating for Messiah, and additional discounts on tickets. The renewal period is open through May 31, 2026.
New subscriptions will be processed in the order received once renewals close, so don’t wait! The sooner you’re on the list, the better your seats.
