Todd Larsen

Todd Larsen is a long-time member of the NW music scene. Currently the principal bass of the Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Pacific NW Ballet, NW Sinfonietta, and Auburn Symphony, he has held other principal positions in the region including with the former NW Chamber Orchestra; assistant principal with the Spokane Symphony; and section positions with the Portland Opera, Oregon Ballet, and Tucson Symphony. Besides auditioned positions, Mr. Larsen also has a lengthy history of extra work with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera and has performed with a variety of early music ensembles and festivals including Oregon Bach Festival, Pacific Music Works, Whidbey Island Festival, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, Pacific Baroque Festival, and NW Bach Festival. Additionally he has participated in the Aspen Music Festival, Ernest Bloch Music Festival, Oregon Coast Music Festival, Festival at Sandpoint and similar engagements; as well, a decade of movie recording. Teaching engagements include Gonzaga University, Whitworth College, Pacific Lutheran University, Seattle Youth Symphony, and Tacoma Youth Symphony. This fall he will enjoy returning to the Portland Baroque Orchestra as they launch their season with new music director Julian Perkins.
